When a school registers and uses Schmick Education, we may collect:

- school name;contact person's name;

- email address;phone number;suburb and state;

- account and subscription information;

- booking history, including dates, subjects, year levels and duration;

- room or location information provided for a booking;

- contact and lesson notes submitted through the platform; and

- communications relating to bookings and platform use.

When a relief teacher joins Schmick Education, we may collect:

- full name;email address;phone number;

- suburb and city;

- subjects they teach;

- year levels they are comfortable teaching;

- availability preferences;

- Working With Children Check (WWCC) information, including the WWCC number and expiry date where provided;

- booking history and booking responses; and

- communications relating to bookings and platform use.

Users are responsible for keeping their profile information accurate and up to date.

When you use the platform, we may automatically collect technical information such as:

- IP address;

- browser and device information;pages visited;

- date and time of access;login and security information; and

- technical error or system information.

This information is used primarily for security, troubleshooting, system administration and improving the platform.

We generally collect personal information directly from you when you:

- create or update an account;complete a profile or booking form;

- submit or respond to a booking;

- communicate with us;

- use the platform; orotherwise provide information to us in connection with the platform.

We may also receive limited information from another platform user where it is necessary to facilitate a booking or operate the platform.

We use personal information to operate and administer Schmick Education.This may include:

- creating and managing user accounts;

- matching schools with suitable relief teachers;

- sending booking invitations and notifications;

- confirming bookings;sending email and SMS notifications;

- communicating with schools and teachers about bookings;

- maintaining booking and contact records;

- managing subscriptions and billing;

- providing customer support;

- maintaining platform security;

- preventing misuse or unauthorised access;

- improving and maintaining the platform; and

- complying with legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal information.

We do not use personal information for advertising or unrelated direct marketing purposes.

Schmick Education shares limited information between schools and relief teachers where reasonably necessary to facilitate bookings.

For example, depending on the stage of a booking:

- a school may see a teacher's name and relevant profile information;

- a teacher may see the school's name, contact person and relevant booking information; and

- confirmed booking participants may receive contact information necessary to arrange and complete the booking.

We only provide information that is reasonably necessary for the relevant booking or platform function.

Users must not use information obtained through Schmick Education for unrelated purposes or misuse another user's contact information.

We use selected third-party service providers to operate Schmick Education.
These may include:

- Hostinger — website hosting and server infrastructure;

- Brevo — email delivery and related communications services; and

- Texto — SMS delivery services.

These providers may process personal information on our behalf where necessary to provide their services.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that service providers handling personal information provide appropriate privacy and security protections.

Some of our service providers may store or process personal information outside Australia.
Our current hosting and communication providers may process or store information in overseas locations, including Europe.
Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas recipient, Schmick Education will take reasonable steps required under applicable Australian privacy law in relation to overseas disclosures.
Because the locations and infrastructure used by service providers may change, the location of processing may also change from time to time.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and administer the platform, maintain appropriate business and booking records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the security and integrity of the platform.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to our legal and record-keeping obligations.

Schmick Education may use automated platform processes to assist with booking administration and matching relief teachers with booking requests.
These processes may consider information such as teacher availability, subjects, year levels, booking status and other information relevant to the booking.
Automated processes are used to assist the operation of the platform and do not replace the responsibilities of schools and teachers to review booking information and make appropriate decisions about their engagements.
Where required by applicable privacy law, Schmick Education will provide additional information about automated decision-making in this Privacy Policy.

You may request access to personal information that Schmick Education holds about you and may request that inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date information be corrected.To make a request, please contact us using the details below.We will handle requests in accordance with applicable Australian privacy law.

If you believe that Schmick Education has mishandled your personal information or has not complied with applicable privacy obligations, you may contact us and make a privacy complaint.We will investigate the complaint and respond within a reasonable period.If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) to make a complaint.
